Purplemunchkim’s Reply to Luckilylenny

Dear Lenny,

Thank you for the lovely letter you’ve sent me last time. I promised to send a response and now here it is! Yay! 🙂

I’d like to start this by greeting you a Belated Happy Birthday! It’s so cool to know that we share the same birth month. Like what you’ve said in your letter, it does seem overrated, but I do wish the same good things for you and may all your prayers and heart’s desires come true. We may not know each other personally yet and writing this now made me feel like a have a “pen pal”, which I think is awesome.

I would love to meet you and fellow bloggers someday and be a part of those fun events and social gatherings you all have from time to time. Sad to say that it can be difficult as my work schedule isn’t always so accommodating. Maybe in time, I might be able to squeeze a few events on my schedule so we could finally meet and it would be perfect! ❤

Anyway, I am going to bore you with the story of how my birthday went, so I hope you won’t stop reading. ;D

I didn’t have a party as most people do. For this year, I endeavored to have a quiet and quality time with my beau. We had a  simple lunch at Applebee’s where I get to have the usual free dessert – because it was my birthday and I want dessert! It was a good thing that there weren’t many diners yet because being sung “happy birthday” to by 3 staffs while shaking their tambourines can feel kind of embarrassing. And yes, it was also fun 😀

After we had our lunch, I wanted to have a stroll in a park and was thinking whether we should go to MIA Park or Alkhor Park. Of course, Beau suggested Alkhor Park since he knows we can go to MIA Park anytime. So off we go to Alkhor Park and we had what you would say kind of a road trip with Bruno Mars singing 24K Magic in the background. As always, Beau and I were having a carpool karaoke moment. 😀

So I don’t know if you’ve been here yet but the place was quite charming. It would’ve been nice to see more people, but due to its location, it would be impractical to go here every time. However, there’s a huge play area for kids, an aviary, a waterfall, a battery-operated train etc. The place is both a zoo and park at the same time. I think you should visit the place if you haven’t yet. It’s a pretty place for some nice photography to add to your beautiful collection of pictures. ❤

Well, I have a feeling you’ve already fallen asleep with my letter so I’ll just cut to the chase and say that we ended the day with a movie at a mall (B Square Mall) and cinema (Roxy Cinemas) we haven’t even heard off until that day. Also, I was finally proposed to by my Beau. It wasn’t the most conventional way of proposing, and I was surprised, to say the least, but I said YES! And now I’m an engaged person… whatever that means. Haha!

Anyway, I really am stopping now. Would love to share so much more but one post would not be able to hold them all.

Belated Happy Birthday to you again! ❤

K iMPRiNTS & Co.

…. is now OPEN!

K iMPRiNTS & Co  is an online souvenir printing shop currently focused on customizing shirts, mugs, stickers, mobile cases and other souvenir items for “pasalubongs”,  company events, reunions and other special occasions. Production office is located at Angeles City, Pampanga, Philippines.

K iMPRiNTS & Co is a business venture that my best friend Ana and I planned for practically a year before finally coming to fruition last February of 2016. As most people starting a business, it has been a tedious year of planning and preparations. A very challenging experience for both of us who are novices in the business world.

Currently, since I am oceans away, my best friend acts as the overall manager of the shop. In charge of  receiving orders from our beloved customers and making orders to ensure that we have all the materials we need in stock. She is totally amazing at it! On the other hand, my supportive younger sister, Kaezzelyn, acts as our production assistant every time we receive bulk orders and when in need of  an extra pair of hands. My brother, Kostrad, also helps us in designs once in a while when he is not entirely busy at work or when he has time to spare.

It’s a small hardworking group and they keep the shop alive.

So to all interested, you can show us some love by checking out our FB page HERE and our Instagram account HERE.

Thank You!   ❤ ❤ ❤

Cherry Blossoms will bloom…

Konnichiwa minna-san!!

It’s been almost a year now since my last post. A lot has definitely happened to me since then, but it is only after learning such spectacular news the other day did it brought me back here. The excitement cannot be contained!

Cherry Blossoms… how do I even begin to explain cherry blossoms? – Cherry blossoms is one of my favorite things in this whole, wide world. And one of the best ever of God’s creation!

According to an article I’ve read, in celebration of the 40th anniversary of sisterhood ties between  Japan’s Kochi prefecture and the Benguet province, a first-ever Sakura Park will finally bloom in Atok, Benguet – a cool northern part of the Philippines. Over 30 cherry blossom trees and other tree species were already planted, with the cherry blossoms expected to blossom in 3 years time.

That’s quite a long time, but who cares? I have been waiting my entire life to tick it off my bucket list after all (to see cherry blossoms up close). What’re three years anyway? I might even hop off a plane to Japan before the 3 years is up if I can help it. 😀

“The last of the cherry blossom. On the tree, it turns ever more perfect. And when it’s perfect, it falls. And then of course once it hits the ground it gets all mushed up. So it’s only absolutely perfect when it’s falling through the air, this way and that, for the briefest time!.!.!.”  — David Mitchell

Haiyan Aftermath

November 7, Typhoon Haiyan, one of the strongest known cyclone to ever made landfall, caused massive destruction in the central part of the Philippines. Though it stayed  in the country for less than 48 hours, the destruction it caused on it’s wake was catastrophic. Roadways were blocked by debris, trees uprooted, houses wiped-out, bodies strewn all over the place. It was a devastating sight as thousands of Filipinos lost their lives, whilst those who survived were left homeless, hungry and injured.

It’s now day-11, last I heard there is now an improvement in the delivery of aid within the areas affected as compared before. The world knows how the arrival of help has been too slow and has caused frustration to a lot of people. However, cash donations from different countries kept pouring in and all the help my country needs is being made available.

To those who still wishes to extend help, know how by clicking the image below. 🙂
