It is Friday again, the only day I’m able to call mine. I do miss the days when I get to have two days off. Anyway, it was afternoon and I was strolling around with a friend at Gulf Mall and doing one of my favorite past times – window shopping – when hunger strikes us both. As usual, we wanted to dine somewhere we haven’t tried before, so I checked my ever helpful Zomato app to see what restaurants around the mall’s vicinity we could find, so as not to go too far.
Browsing for a place to dine didn’t take long despite having too many choices. Food reviews and photos alone already helped pique my interest and a photo of a flame-red burger at Burger Boutique certainly stood out.
Obviously, I’m not much of a food blogger. I don’t normally blog all the foods and restaurants I’ve tried and been to. However, I do make exceptions for places that made quite an impression or has really tasty food that I would confidently recommend to friends and to people in general.
And so to start off, these are what we ordered.
I love these Buffalo Shrimps! They are sweet and tasty and definitely one of my faves. One thing I should remark though is that it was kind of pricey since it was just a small portion. About 6 or 7 pieces only.
Good for two people! It’s well seasoned and really tasty. Both my friend and I enjoyed it.
The very reason why I chose Burger Boutique. These sliders are so pretty! Instagram-worthy to those who like to post pretty foods on their IG. Was it good though? It is. It was very spicy with the Jalapeno though, but you can certainly request not to add it if you prefer a less spicy one. The bun was really soft, which I would have liked if only it was able to hold the chicken patty well.
Unlike the Dynamite sliders, the soft buns worked well with the beef patty and the combined taste of the mustard and west coast sauce is really delicious. Between the two sliders we’ve ordered, we both agreed that this tastes better and is perfect with the soft bun.
Being a sweet-tooth that I am, I can never not order dessert when I dine out. So we tried out their amazing waffle since I was legit craving for a waffle. You could say this one satisfied my craving.
For drinks, I always order anything lemon and mint, while my friend ordered a vanilla shake. Note that the vanilla shake was not on the menu and was something that we tried to ask if they make one. Fortunately, they do and so my friend was able to have one.
Overall, would I go again? Totally! The service was pleasant and so is the ambiance. Moreover, I’m looking forward to trying more of their menu. I really do feel like there’s more to try and that, for me, is something.
