Book Haul at the Christmas Fair

This is such a late post as most of my post probably are, but I do want to share the books I was able to acquire during the “2nd Chance Christmas Fair” event last December 2, 2016. You can see my full post about it HERE.

As I’ve mentioned before, a friend and I went to the Christmas Fair with a goal to check out their book sale – aside from the many fun stalls and activities prepared for that day. And you could say that not only were we successful in our goal, we also had such a great deal out of it.

Here are the books I’ve hauled.

Can you imagine? Each book only costs 10QAR!

Six books for only 60QAR is dirt cheap if you tell me. Plus the books aren’t even worn-out and still looks pretty new. So yeah, I was very happy with this purchase. Now all I had to do is find the perfect time to read them all. 😀

currently reading: I’VE GOT YOUR NUMBER

After months of reading a number of book series, Wardstone Chronicles being the latest, I’ve now moved on to a lighter and humour-filled read for a change, and a Sophie Kinsella book is just the one to choose. 🙂

I've Got Your Number (Sophie Kinsella)
I’ve Got Your Number (Sophie Kinsella)

SYNOPSIS: Poppy Wyatt has never felt luckier. She is about to marry her ideal man, Magnus Tavish, but in one afternoon her “happily ever after” begins to fall apart. Not only has she lost her engagement ring in a hotel fire drill but in the panic that follows, her phone is stolen. As she paces shakily around the lobby, she spots an abandoned phone in a trash can. Finders keepers! Now she can leave a number for the hotel to contact her when they find her ring. Perfect!

Well, perfect except that the phone’s owner, businessman Sam Roxton, doesn’t agree. He wants his phone back and doesn’t appreciate Poppy reading his messages and wading into his personal life.

What ensues is a hilarious and unpredictable turn of events as Poppy and Sam increasingly upend each other’s lives through emails and text messages. As Poppy juggles wedding preparations, mysterious phone calls, and hiding her left hand from Magnus and his parents . . . she soon realizes that she is in for the biggest surprise of her life.
